Bretherton W.I.

Bretherton W.I. was started in September 2015 in the same year that the National Organisation celebrated it's centenary. Despite lockdown in 2020 and 2021 we continued to offer a programme to our members who stayed loyal even though we were having to meet on Zoom and use Whats App for much of the time. Since July 2021 we have been meeting in person again albeit having to adhere to government regulations on numbers and masks etc until early 2022.

“Inspiring Women” is the philosophy behind the W.I, and in Bretherton we have over 50 members across a wide age range whose enthusiasm has ensured that we are now a central part of village life. Our members share their skills in craft projects, keep fit and active, learn from our varied speakers and events, and above all have a lot of fun together!

We are fully open now at our original venue, Bretherton Congregational Church Hall and we have a very interesting and varied programme for the year as well has a varied group of satellite interest groups. Do come and join our increasing membership, help to shape our future, and enjoy this new aspect of village life. We meet on the second Thursday of every month in the Congregational Hall Bretherton. Meetings start at 7:30pm.
